"Pro" Elves are elves, usually High Elves, who have struck out on their own to form professional teams, not constrained by the hidebound traditions of their peoples. Compared to their cousins, they tend to be more experienced, giving them a very strong passing game, but, since their budgets are often smaller, their equipment suffers by comparison.
Confusingly, they are often described as just "elves", having turned their backs on their distinctive cultural heritage. For those who understandably think all elves look the same, pro Elves can often be distinguished by their brightly-coloured kits and rebellious haircuts.
Strategy[]
Elf teams are the cheapest of the four Elven races that are available to play. Their biggest feather in their cap is their Catchers. They are by far the best Catchers in the game, being fast, average Strength and starting with Nerves of Steel. Their ability to catch a ball in heavy traffic makes the team very hard to defend against. The Catchers are also really good at getting interceptions if you place them well and this can help force the other team to play the ball where you would prefer. Additionally, they don't suffer from the low Strength that other players of their type have. The Blitzers are also decent and have a nice starting combination of skills which make them great at harassing opposing ball carriers.
The bad news is their Blitzers and Catchers aren't cheap and will get targeted. Though their Line-Elves are the cheapest of all the Elf teams, they do have low armor so you don't want to get involved in a brawl. The fact that the Catchers are so good at what they do, you may find they tend to hog all the SPPs and you have to be careful about spreading the skills around the team.
Strengths:
- "Best" Catchers in the Game
- Cheapest AG4 Players
- High Agility
Weaknesses
- Low Armor
- Expensive Positionals
